Far be it for me to tell others whether something is worthwhile or not, let me just point out that
This is not a Lazy Bee, rather a development of the model the Lazy Bee series was derived from.
Tom Clancy went out of business several years ago and there are no Lazy Bee kits anymore, only plans.
Many of us -for various reasons- find it easier/simpler to build from a kit rather then scratchbuild from a plan.
The kit from Stevens Aeromodels is of extreme high quality, both in design and wood choice, and well worth their price.

If I were to consider building anything else, I will seriously consider another model from Stevens Aeromodels.
