Yes. It illegal to fly fpv in Israel. Of course, no one gives a flying California copulation about the law.

The limitations are significant and are not intended to allow hobbyists to fly stuff FPV style. People who photograph from the air as a commercial enterprise are examined and those who pass and pay the license are allowed to operate devices - be they drones or not.ציטוט:

I am not cynical. I am describing reality. And describing reality is not detrimental - it is important.
To the original poster (and without a tongue in cheek comments) - the Israeli law prohibits FPV flights for quite a number of reasons. The most serious ones are those of operating a remotely piloted vehicle beyond visual range (unless equipped with a license), flying above preset heights, operating within a certain distance from built-up areas, airports, etc.
Most (in my opinion all) Israeli hobbyist FPV pilots are unlicensed.

וכמובן יש הבדלים בדרישות רשיון בין שתי סוגי ההפעלות בס 87
לא יעסוק אדם בהדרכה עיונית או מעשית להפעלת כלי רחיפה,
אלא אם כן בידו רישיון לכך שניתן מאת המנהל לפי סעיף זה, ובהתאם
לתנאי הרישיון ולהוראות לפי חוק זה.
