R2 Hobbies Raptor 2000 electric glider
.Okay, we're going to do this in english for a very simple reason - this message will be edited multiple times and I find it much easier to work in English
So - my Raptor 2000 has arrived finally from R2 .hobbies. Cost with shipping $117
.The glider came in perfect conditions, excellently boxed (double box) and well packaged
.I will add parts pictures slightly later in the day
.The first thing that struck me was the lightness of the box. The box, actually, was picked up from the post office by a friend who told me the box is so light he thought it was empty. Well, the box is indeed very very light
:So - on to weighting the components, initially, no electronics
Fuselage and canopy - 164g
Wing (half) - 124g
Tail unit - 34g
Misc parts (including servo extensions, bolts, etc) - 88g
.Total BEFORE electronics and V-tail pushrods - 534g
.I thought to reuse a motor I had but discovered that it is too wide, so I will need to order a motor unit and some servos. Hmmm
...LONG DELAY - did not have servos and was too lazy to buy
.Ok, updates
.Have freed up servos - two Savox SH-0257MG for the tail and four Corona 922 for the Ailerons/Flaps
.Ordered motor and prop/spinner (yes, I know, suboptimal, but it will hold for the test) combo directly from R2hobbies
.Ordered an Orange receiver from HK
.(I will probably be using a 30A ESC for the motor and and a dedicated BEC for the servos (of there are six, so no go to just hook it up directly

Inserted Aileron and Flap servos into the wings. Now that I have done so - it would have been a much better idea to remove the servo connector from the servo and solder an extension directly, not .using a female/male link and shrine-tubing them together. This is fine (i.e. gets into the wing, etc) but barely. Any bigger and I would have had a to suffer the tortures of Sysyphus

Aha! Drat! Adding the V-Tail and... while inserting the guide tubes for the pushrods, the rear fuselage split, gently, right along the back in the very rear. Undaunted, I removed the tubes, rerouted them through the cooling vents and fixed the rear fuselage:

Motor has arrived and has been inserted/installed. It is a hobby king/turnigy 2217 1000kv out runner - http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=5690
Total glider weight, including an oversize battery, is 1010g. CG is dead on. It is programmed on a Futaba 9C on GLID 2F-C (i.e. a channel per servo). I have NOT yet programmed in mixes (first time...) We shall see how it all works.
