I have zero experience with helicopters.

If I do want to start getting SOME experience, is this a reasonable start body?

my answer is, I dont like the fakes..... it is low quality and if you include
a high electronics quality you'll find out that you dont save a lots of money.
if you want to start in the hobby I can give you the best tip for today
Get a RC simulator and start there, learn the basic manuver .
what will save you a lots of crushes. and spar parts (money!!!), I hope I helped you
